Umoor Kharijiya members of Bhopal have started the Happy Nests initiative by upcycling plastic to make stools for the Muminaat who cannot sit on the floor in the Bhopal Jamaat khana.

Shajapur organised an 'Upcycle your trash' competition for Muminaat on the occasion of Milad Mubarak.The aim was to create an awareness amongst them to reduce reuse recycle and ultimately Upcycle plastic waste. Approx 40 Muminaat enthusiastically participated and Upcycled approx 53 plastic bottles and 60 plastic bags.
Haidery Colony organized a shitabi on 28th December 2020 with a HAPPY NESTS program.They had announced a plastic bottle upcycle competition and had asked the invitees to bring their products. They gave a brief introduction about the Happy Nests initiative and also taught them how to make some useful and beautiful products out of waste plastic bottles. Finally, they gave the best products, prizes. Around 50 bottles were upcycled and 250 people participated.
On the occasion of Milad Mubarak Zainee-Najmi mohallah Mumbai announced a creative competition of trash to treasure. Muminaat were encouraged to make upcycle plastic products and spread awareness about Happy Nests. 10 best products were given prizes and were also displayed in Masjid sehen during roti making barnamaj on Maulatena Fatema A.S shahadat.

With the support of Madresa Moalima and the whole-hearted support of parents and kids, Najmi Madresa Palghar smoothly carried out the plastic upcycling planter activity.
This activity was given as a vacation activity to the children in December.

On the occasion of Milad Mubarak, Burhani Women's Association had a competition of upcycle plastic where the members participated and displayed their products online. Products were viewed by all the members, explanation of its making and use was also given and through google forms after which the winners were finalised.

A plantation drive was held in Burhani Bagh Mohallah Karachi to Upcycle Plastic Bottles into Growing Plants. 15 Muminaat Behno participated and 35 Plants were installed.
On the Auspicious Occasion of 77th Milaad Mubarak of Dai uz Zaman Ali Qadr Mufaddal Saifuddin Moula (TUS) Ajman (UAE ) conducted a Jamaat level Upcycling Movement.
Plastic containers such as water bottles, yogurt tubs, disinfected bottles, oil bottles, detergent bottles were turned into stunning pots for growing plants.
It was carried out over 5 days and culminated on Sunday with 2 winners being announced. Judges had a difficult time to chose the winner as every single piece was beautiful.
A total of 80 women participated (including 8 children) and created approximately 90 unique attractive plant holders.

Several upcycle items were displayed along with Mohabbat ni Roti on the occasion of Moulatona Fatema AS Shahadat in Detroit, USA.
Happy Nests Ladies of Calgary started a planter project in which they made 28 planters from plastic containers. They planted indoor plants in the planters and gifted it to all ladies above 65 years of age in Calgary because they are the most effected with the covid pandemic. This was a way of telling them they care and are thinking about them.
All the planters that were made were with products from everyone's households.

In Houston Happy Nests members had an event highlighting the Happy Nests initiative. It was outdoors and adhering to social distancing. People were asked to make planters from bottles and containers that they get from FMB and upcycled them into planters. They learned how to plant herbs like mint, turmeric, garlic oregano and how to plant different flowers like snapdragons and diyantes. The ladies then were able to take their planted plants home.
